Aggies land 2018 Union County (Fla.) RB Charles Strong on Signing Day
By Signing Day Lake Butler (Fla.) Union County running back Charles Strong had his list narrowed to Ole Miss and Texas A&M, and on Wednesday, he was ready to let everyone know he would spend his college days in College Station.
Strong, who originally committed to Florida State before re-opening his recruiting process, will reunite with Jimbo Fisher and Jay Graham at Texas A&M, and adds powerful punch to Texas A&M’s offensive backfield.
At 6-2, 230-pounds, Strong is a hard charging back, who has amassed 1,388 yards and 15 TDs on 186 carries as a senior, and 1,280 yards and 18 TDs on 210 carries as a junior.
He took his official visit to Texas A&M the weekend of January 19 with his family and gives the Aggies a significant Signing Day win in the state of Florida.
In addition to offers from Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Florida State, he also received scholarships from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Miami and South Carolina during the recruiting process.
