History, bragging rights color matchup between Aggies, Horned Frogs

OMAHA, Neb. — Texas A&M and TCU are among college baseball’s elite programs. They battled in the ’15 and ’16 Super Regionals. They competed in a 15-inning marathon this season. They have a history that dates back to the old Southwest Conference.

Yet, A&M pitcher Stephen Kolek contends there is no rivalry between the Aggies and Horned Frogs.

“You can’t really call it a rivalry,” Kolek said on Monday morning. “To have a rivalry, we have to win. We need to come out here, win and make it a rivalry.
