Cy-Springs safety standout Leon O'Neal commits to Texas A&M
Cy-Springs safety Leon O'Neal made the call to Kevin Sumlin and staff today to become a part of the Aggies' 2018 class. O'Neal's pledge makes him Texas A&M's second member of Ron Cooper's secondary, joining Yoakum DB Jordan Moore, who committed in December.
The hard-hitting 6-1, 190-pound ball hawk had over 20 offers and chose Texas A&M over Clemson, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma and Georgia. He's the No. 7 overall player in our TexAgs Top 118.
A huge credit for the commitment should go to Jeff Banks, who has played an integral part in A&M holding off a late Clemson push to secure perhaps the Aggies' most coveted secondary defender in the class.
You can view his junior year highlights below, and TexAgs subscribers can hear why O'Neal chose A&M in his post-commitment interview.
