Texas A&M Softball's bats fall silent in game two loss to Missouri, 5-1
Texas A&M Softball fell to the Missouri Tigers on Saturday in game two of the weekend series, 5-1.
Missouri took an early 3-0 lead in the first. With one out and runners on second and third, Tiger Kirsten Mack singled to center, scoring two. One out later, Anna Reed singled to center field to score Mack.
After a lead-off single, Tori Vidales advanced to third in the bottom of the first, but the Aggies were unable to push her across.
Back-to-back singles from Jolie Duffner and Cayla Kessinger and a fielder’s choice in the top of the second earned the Tigers another run, extending the lead, 4-0.
Kristen Cuyos doubled to right center in the bottom of the frame, and designated player Samantha Show doubled to center, pushing Cuyos home and putting the Ags on the board, 4-1.
Rylee Pierce scored the final run of the game for Missouri with a homer to center field in the sixth.
The rubber match of the series will begin at noon on Sunday at the Aggie Softball Complex.
