Locker Room Chat: Trocha-Morelos, Eubanks talk big Auburn win

February 18, 2017

On the performance against Auburn...
Trocha-Morelos: "We played really good. Auburn can play at a fast speed, and Coach Kennedy told us to control the pace of the game. That's what we did when we got the ball offensively. We moved it side to side, got it into the paint and played from there."

On getting more minutes...
Eubanks: "I was still a little nervous, but it was a good experience for me. It felt good to be out there and stuff – especially, I thought our hard work and as much as coach has been pushing us, it was really good."

On the most exciting thing Robert Williams does for the team during a game...
Trocha-Morelos: "It depends. If the block is nasty, it's a block, but we always get more excited with a dunk. We always expect (Williams) to get really high where nobody else can get it, so I would say a dunk would be better for us to get excited."

On Robert Williams' potential...
Eubanks: "To me, in my opinion, Rob has a lot more in him that he can give and stuff like that. We see it in practice. That's why we ride him so much and expect so much more of him, because we know he can do a lot of other things, especially at times when guys go by and end up getting a layup. (Sometimes) he doesn't really try to jump and block it. We know he can block it. He does it every time in practice. The man will be in the paint, and we'll be shooting a corner jump shot, and he'll somehow block it. You've just got to give him his respect."

On Admon Gilder's impact...
Trocha-Morelos: "Admon is inhuman. That dude plays forty minutes. We're all getting tired, and the effort he gives every time is unbelievable. You know what to expect from Admon no matter what. No matter if he plays forty minutes, thirty minutes or 20 minutes, he's always going to play with the same intensity. He's going to take great shots. He's going to take care of the ball. He's going to create some plays for others. The effort he's doing right now – we have to appreciate and thank him for doing that for the team."

On getting a win after some tough losses...
Eubanks: "It's really good, man. Every loss is really tough for us because we seem to hang our hat – even when we get a win, we still have a lot to do and a lot to make up, so it's always looking ahead and pushing for more."

Trocha-Morelos: "It's really good. You know, Auburn is a really good, talented team. You can see they started four freshman. It feels great to move one step ahead. We're just focused on the next game, no matter what our record is. It's always good to keep building our record."
