"Just to know when to be aggressive and really attack batters, and to just go at them and don't be scared."

On catching President George H.W. Bush's first pitch...
"I wasn't really nervous, it was more just feeling honored to get to do it — and it was certainly a very exciting day. Everything about it was so awesome."

On what brought him to Texas A&M...
"The feel of it, the tradition, just everything about it, really. Everything is great here. The coaches are great, the players are great, we are all like a family here."

On how it has been playing under Rob Childress and the coaching staff...
"A lot better than I was expecting. It's great here, I really love it."

On describing the freshman class in a few words...
"Talented."

On his experience under the Olsen lights so far this season...
"A lot better than high school, I can say that. It has been amazing getting to be out in front of fans and everything. It's really, really awesome — lots of energy and makes it easier to play well."
