Texas A&M parts ways with offensive line coach Dave Christensen
Texas A&M football coach Kevin Sumlin has fired offensive line coach Dave Christensen according to sources close to the Aggies athletic department.
There was no word of who would replace Christensen.
The move would end a disappointing one-year stint for Christensen, who arrived at A&M last year from Utah with a reputation for fielding strong offensive lines and coordinating productive running games.
However, the Aggies' running game struggled at times even though running back Tra Carson rushed for 1,165 yards.
Texas A&M averaged 169.1 rushing yards per game to rank a mediocre 66th in the nation in rushing offense. The Aggies also continued to struggle in short yardage situations.
A&M also allowed 37 sacks to rank 107th in the country.
