Texas A&M Football Recruiting
Mineola's Anderson twins: 'We just love A&M ... everything about it'
Trips to Ole Miss and Auburn were still fresh in Austin and Riley Anderson's minds on April 27.
As in, "literally just happened" fresh.
Not that it mattered much. The twin Mineola offensive linemen picked up the phone to call A&M coach Kevin Sumlin and give their verbal commitment to the Aggies, joining state No. 1 Greg Little in an impressive early OL group.
Since then they've gone about their business as usual, but in a special video report recently released by CBS affiliate KYTX in the Mineola area Austin and Riley — along with their parents, Leon and Amy, and Mineola coach Joe Drennon — shared their experience of the recruiting process, their bond as brothers and why they picked A&M.
“We just really like the coaching staff, and the facilities are amazing," Riley said. "We really like how they put offensive linemen in the NFL. We just love A&M. We love the school, love the people, everything about it.”
