Aggies featured in several early basketball top 25's
There's nothing a sports fan likes to do more than look ahead.
With the college basketball season and a memorable NCAA Tournament sadly concluded, that's all anyone wants to do. And, for Aggie basketball fans, it's a fruitful endeavor.
ESPN was the first to launch its 'way too early' top 25 for the 2015-16 college basketball season. A&M landed at No. 22 due to the reasons we all know — Danuel House, Jalen Jones, Alex Caruso and the nation's third-ranked incoming recruiting class. See the full list here:

CBS Sports had the Ags at No. 22 as well. "[The recruiting class], combined with some quality returning pieces, should have A&M in the NCAA Tournament," Garry Parish writes.
Bleacher Report: No. 20.
Lost Lettermen: No. 23.
A&M landed just on the precipice with several other publications. SBNation (No. 27), Yahoo! (No. 27) and USA Today (No. 29) had the Aggies on the 'just missed the cut' line.
In other words, the bar seems to have been set for a team that, on paper, will have all the pieces it's been looking for.
The Aggies, who this season went 21-12 and finished in a tie for third place in the SEC, will be tested early in 2015-16 at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. The field includes other preseason top-25 teams Gonzaga and the Fightin' Shaka Smarts (Texas), along with UConn, Syracuse, Michigan, Washington and Charlotte.
And now, the wait for the season begins anew.
