The NCAA Tournament doesn't begin today.
But if it did, the Aggies would be in.
In fact, since breaking into Joe Lunardi's NCAA Tournament field projection on Jan. 29, A&M hasn't left. Following a 1-1 week that included a blowout win against Missouri, the Ags hold firm on the 10-line in the latest Bracketology update — matched against hypothetical 7-seed SMU in the first round of Gonzaga's West region.

A&M is currently listed among the 'last four byes,' or final four teams to receive at-large bids without being placed in a play-in game. The Aggies' RPI sits at 33 in today's newly updated official NCAA RPI.
A defining stretch against Georgia, Florida and LSU — all in Reed Arena's freshly friendly confines — will likely shake all of this up, for better or worse.
As for the rest of the SEC, the league is quietly tied for second with six projected bids.
