Aaron Moorehead hired as Texas A&M's wide receivers coach
Former Virginia Tech assistant Aaron Moorehead has been hired by Kevin Sumlin as Texas A&M's wide receivers coach. He arrived in College Station on Sunday.
Moorehead began his coaching career in 2009 as a graduate assistant at New Mexico before becoming a wide receiver assistant at Stanford in 2010. While there, Stanford played in three straight BCS bowls. He spent the past two seasons under Frank Beamer at Virginia Tech coaching wide receivers.
Following a college career as a four-year letterman at Illinois (85 catches, 1,293 yards, nine touchdowns), Moorehead spent five seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts. He appeared in 36 games and was with the team during their Super Bowl XLI victory over the Chicago Bears.
