"As far as the my calls go from Georgia and Alabama last year, they were both identical in the sense that I had no idea what I said. I promise you, I had no idea what was coming out of my mouth until I got a chance to listen to it. The Alabama play was a better play because I thought Gus Malzahn outcoached Nick Saban. He called the timeout and put a guy deep and as Gary Danielson said, Alabama had a bunch of fat guys on the field. I’ll say this, I’ve signed a lot of posters with that call, I don’t think I’ve signed a single one with the Georgia call."
"The thing that impresses me about Coach Malzahn is his ability to get his team prepared every week. I could count on two fingers the amount of times Auburn has come out flat or unprepared since he has been here. He got them to buy into it quickly last year and it helped that they beat Mississippi State late in the ballgame early in the season. It certainly helped that they beat A&M on the road, that was the game that really got people to say, 'This guys knows what he is doing.'"
"I’ve never heard anyone call a bad team lucky. You make a lot of your own luck. Now Ricardo Lewis was in the right spot in the Georgia game last year because he didn’t quit on the play, but there was certainly luck there. They put themselves in a position to win these games. They are 20-4 in one score games over the last six or seven years. You have to be good enough to put yourself in a position to win those games."
"When you look at Auburn offensively, it looks like they are starting to hit their stride. If they execute, and I was convinced of this when they did it versus a very good Ole Miss defense, if they are executing I don’t think anyone can stop them. I think their philosophy defensively will be to make Kyle Allen as uncomfortable as possible. I don’t know how conservative Sumlin will be with a new quarterback on the road. It is a classic trap game though, win a physical emotional game against Ole Miss and follow that with one of your rivals. This is a coach's game and they will have to keep them focused."

Key quotes from Rod Bramblett interview
"Last year was unlike anything I have ever seen and that team was unlike anything I have ever seen. People forget about the Mississippi state game, that was dramatic and the A&M game was just a fantastic football game all the way around. Then Georgia and Alabama rolled around, words cannot describe what those two games were like. One was just a true miracle in the Georgia game and the Alabama game was just highly unusual in how it ended. There was no miracle; really Auburn just made a play.""As far as the my calls go from Georgia and Alabama last year, they were both identical in the sense that I had no idea what I said.
