Really like the Corps and Band statutes. The War Hymn statue is awful. The old 12th Man statue was in better proportion. This one's head is too big and arms too short.

I hear that Benjamin Knox was the sculptor for the new War Hymn and E. King Gill statues. Should we be surprised?

Personally, I love the War Hymn Memorial.
Brings tears to my eyes, actually.
its the epitome of Aggie Spirit that this school has had since it was established in 1876.
To me, it represents Ags of all races & backgrounds bonding together in unison to show their allegiance to Texas A&M & of their desire to BTHO t.u or whoever we are scheduled to play.
granted, we aren't playing the horns right now, but I'm hopeful that we will soon enough.
this memorial is more about the Aggie Spirit toward our University & our fellow Ags than anything else......

I actually like the war hymn statue a lot better than I thought I would as well. But I'm sad the E. King Gill statue looks so awkward. Very disappointing replacement for a classic statue.
Surely Knox must know that he consistently makes heads too big.

Hideous. Cannot believe that these were viewed and given the stamp of approval to be installed. It's like hanging the dogs playing poker at the Louvre
why do we insist on staying local for things like this? there are people out there who can do incredible things. these are amateurish at best.
