"The energy has been great. We have a bunch of young guys in there, and Malcome Kennedy has done a great job leading for us."

"There's a lot of competition in that room. It may the best we've had since I've been here. There are three spots that nobody has been able to lock down. There's a lot of competition for those spots and playing time."

"The great thing I love about Speedy is that he is never satisfied. He's very easy to coach. He wants to learn and he wants to get better. He knows that there is a long way to go and he also understand that he is a freshman and it is a process. Everything that's coming at him is new. Getting here early helps a little bit, but not everything."

"Ricky has done exactly what we've expected him to do. He's become a mature player as a young guy. The one thing I really like to see about Ricky is that he has become more of a leader. He's here early and he's here late. He's a leader by his actions. He's also being able to play a few different positions which makes him nothing but more marketable in the future."

"There's a lot of things we haven't necessarily shown yet that that kid [Ricky] is going to be able to do for us. He's a unique player. He's got speed with that size and he's got a great work ethic."

"I think Josh [Reynolds] is a kid you'll start talking about just by virtue of what you see. We go by what we see and we go by production. If you produce, you are going to be on the field. To this point, Josh has been one of those guys that has really done a good job of doing that."

"The big thing for us is being a pro and what do you do with yourself when you're not practicing. The big thing for us tomorrow is to take care of our bodies. We're looking at six straight from this point forward. We just finished talking about tomorrow being a big deal relating to those six straight days of practice. There are a lot of workouts they are staring at. They have to maximize these next 24 hours."

"When the ball is in the air, our job is to catch it. We don't care who throws it."

"There is a lot of competition going on, but we're just making each other better."

"The biggest thing I've improved is my confidence and just getting used to the game speed we run over here. The speed here is just a lot quicker and a lot faster. I just have to get used to it."

"A&M came late in my recruiting. I was just blown away with the atmosphere and fans out here. I knew this place was for me once I came on my visit."

"[Kennedy] always tells us we can be the best wide receiver core in the country if we just do what we do, play hard, practice hard and believe in ourselves and our coaches."

"All the incoming freshmen all came out to play and have really impressed me."

"Ricky works hard. Once he got hurt, he was devastated. He worked hard to be where he's out now, and I know he'll do good things for us."

"Me and Quiv are tied 2-2 in the 40-yard dash. Speedy's fast. I don't know [if I can take Speedy.] His name is Speedy for a reason. I ran a 4.34 hand time and 4.42 electronic."

"We're deep. We have a lot talent and everyone is working hard. We have Malcome as the leader for us. It should be a good year for us."

"We look at Malcome as a leader, and I kind of just follow what he says. I do as much as I can to help the team out."

"There's no room for mistakes. It's a battle between all of us, and it's getting heated."

"I always watch film and mentally prepare. You can never prepare too much. We have a tough schedule ahead so I might as well get in the film books now."

"I don't know who I prefer more. They're both good quarterbacks. Both of them are different quarterbacks. I like both of their styles and everything. I don't care whoever starts."

"Kenny is a very confident and smart player. He understands defense very well and picks up on things pretty fast."

"I just want to be consistent for my team and help as much as I can."

"Since I've been here, this is the tightest I've ever felt. We just have so much talent between every position. We have two deep at least. We've never had that since I've been here."

"Malcome Kennedy is a true student of the game. He's very dedicated to the game and he loves football."
