TexAgs.com is happy to announce the addition of Aggie Websider’s David Sandhop to the TexAgs team.

The Aggie Websider was the very first Internet website dedicated to Texas A&M football recruiting, a site that many long-time Aggie recruiting fans remember fondly. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Sandhop brings to TexAgs extensive expertise in Aggie recruiting, Aggie sports analysis, and content writing.

Along with Billy Liucci, Sandhop’s inside information and analysis during the SEC realignment period were unrivaled in the industry and his articles were nationally featured on FoxSports.com. His ongoing interaction and unique approach with subscribers and posters on a daily basis helped create and sustain a dynamic user experience for his longtime, loyal community on Aggie Websider.

We plan to leverage this expertise in enhancing the subscriber experience at TexAgs. Sandhop will assist Liucci in many aspects of the recruiting operations team, including increased coverage of Friday night high school action relevant to Texas A&M commits and targets, increased recruiting highlight video capabilities, and prospect evaluation.

What excites me about joining TexAgs is the dedication of the team to constantly generate new ways to improve the user experience in a creative and innovative environment. - David Sandhop {"Module":"quote","Alignment":"right","Quote":"What excites me about joining TexAgs is the dedication of the team to constantly generate new ways to improve the user experience in a creative and innovative environment.","Author":"David Sandhop"}
In addition, Sandhop will work with the TexAgs team to enhance the message board experience. His Aggie sports analysis is widely respected throughout the Texas A&M Internet community and he will bring his inside perspectives directly to TexAgs subscribers on the message boards on a daily basis.

“I’m looking forward to working with Billy and the entire TexAgs team to provide subscribers the best Texas A&M sports and recruiting online experience in the industry,” said Sandhop. “I’m honored to be joining the No. 1 Aggie sports and recruiting website and media outlet in the country. What excites me about joining TexAgs is the dedication of the team to constantly generate new ways to improve the user experience in a creative and innovative environment.”

For me (Brandon), it's exciting because Hop brings a great deal of history in the coverage of A&M athletics and recruiting. But more than that, this move is about TexAgs continuing to blaze a trail forward in the future. We're excited about the ways Hop is going to contribute to those efforts.

"Since the very first day I got into this business, I've considered David a friend," TexAgs co-owner and Executive Editor Billy Liucci added. "I have deep respect for him personally and for his dedication to A&M sports coverage. Maturity in this industry is something we highly value, and he has demonstrated that quality ever since I've known him. He has shepherded a very dedicated community, and we are excited to welcome them as well. We feel like David's personality is a great fit for TexAgs, and know that he will be a valuable addition to both our staff and subscribers."

Tony Hooten founded the Aggie Websider in 1994 and Sandhop joined the team in 1996 to provide additional recruiting content and team coverage. As the most popular Aggie website of its kind at the time, the Aggie Websider later joined Rivals.com in 1999 and became the largest premium content website in the Texas A&M market for eight years.

The site moved to Scout.com/Foxsports.com in 2007 with Sandhop as the lead publisher and site manager.

Hooten will also join the TexAgs team in an advisory capacity.

Loved Websider back in the old days ... it was the only thing out there.

Good get for TexAgs. Hop is a valuable source and brings keen incite to the table.

Well, when the hell is he going to acknowledge us? He needs to be introduced to the peasants that will undoubtedly ruin a few of his days.
