Eric Hyman talks Sumlin contract details

• A&M AD Eric Hyman spoke to the media in the Missouri press box at halftime. Said it was an appropriate time for contract Sumlin extension.

• Hyman would not reveal details of financial terms for Sumlin's extension or buyout details. He said that it will come in the "near future."

• Hyman: "Very sincere, longterm commitment for an individual who has a marvelous job. Extremely excited to have [Sumlin] leading program."

• Hyman said that the extension has been in the works for a while. He also said that he wasn't contacted by anyone looking to poach Sumlin.

• I asked Hyman if assistant coach raises were involved in the commitment...he said that this particular deal was primarily about Sumlin.

• Hyman said that there will probably be a called BOR meeting prior to the next scheduled meeting on 12/21 because of sense of urgency.

• Hyman: "Couldn't be more excited about the direction of the program. We're building cathedral one brick at a time. A&M has made an unbelievable commitment to the football program. The best [commitment] I've ever seen. A lot of momentum about the program.
