A day without Gabe is like a day without sunshine.

Brandon needs to mix it up with Matt Jones if this is about hair fashion.

Kayce,

Cruise is a putz so you are welcome to feel about him the way you do. Do not fear standing your ground on that one.

As for your comment on those weak November games keep in mind the SEC plays tough games right out of the gate and are not like the B1G beating up on the MAC for the first month of football or the B12 playing a bunch of nobody's for their first 3 games of the season. Those non SEC conferences love to roll into conference play 3-0 or 4-0. By September 28th the SEC will have played the following games (UT, VU, UAF, LSU, and A&M will not have an open date for the first 5 weeks of football) :

Florida @ Miami + 2 conference games
Georgia @ Clemson + 2 conference games
Kentucky vs Louisville + 1 conference game
Missouri @ Indiana (granted they are new to SEC scheduling)
South Carolina vs UNC + 2 conference games
Tennessee @ Oregon + 1 conference game
Vanderbilt plays 2 conference games

Alabama vs Virginia Tech + 2 conference games
Arkansas @ Rutgers + 1 conference game
Auburn vs WSU + 2 conference games
LSU vs TCU + 2 conference games
State vs OK State + 1 conference game
Ole Miss @ tu + 2 conference games
A&M + 2 conference games (granted they are new to SEC scheduling)

Show me where the ACC / B1G / B12 / PAC schedule that tough as a conference that early in the season. Sure the SEC puts in a November bunny but it is usually the week before their big rival games and rather than taking an OPEN date they are scheduling a lesser team. I think you can cut the conference some slack on this point. Everybody but Arkansas plays the last 2 weeks.

Sure Florida plays GA Southern but it is between South Carolina and their big rival Florida State. Same with the Cocks putting Costal Carolina between Florida and Clemson. Remember A&M has their OPEN date in November the week before LSU so keep in mind the SEC schools have the late breather because they play the tough games early.

Compare Apples to Apples and not Apples to Oranges.

From around the 11:20 mark and the Reed comments

Reed is not the worst arena I have ever been to. It is not the best either but basketball is not a big deal at A&M when compared to football. Look at the picture below and at least you have some design elements like the lighter bands of color on the darker tan for the surrounding structure. The issue is how good the actual structure is and if your can retrofit the exterior to incorporate more defined visual appeal.

Kentucky is doing this right now in keeping the existing structure (designed and built in 70's era) while upgrading to a new facelift on the exterior of the structure. The original version was really ugly then they did a minor facelift about a decade ago that fixed this entrance to the building.

Currently they are going for a full facelift and this is one of the early designs

The point being that if Reed has good bones to work with the exterior can be upgraded to make it more in line with the future trends in arena designs.

I think the newest arena in the SEC is the one at Mizzou

However, I have been told Bud Walton is due for an upgrade in the not so distant future. They will follow the Joe Craft lead that has been followed by LSU in terms of dual practice facilities. SEC is in a constant arms race and you can bet the home office will push all the schools to improve their product with the new SEC media deal. Yes football drives the bus, but basketball will provide much of the programming in this new deal just because of the hours of "new" programming it provides.
