Wtf is this song they keep playing before kickoffs

B**** I'm from Louisiana. The profanity is edited out though. Its so ridiculous it became popular the last few years around campus and they added it to kickoffs midway through this year.

Whatever they were playing was way the hell better than anything at Kyle. I cant get over how much cooler of a gameday vibe LSU had. And under the worst of conditions.

And yeah "cool" matters. Look at LSU's recruiting class if you dont believe me.

I agree it sounded horrible through the TV. You couldn't understand what it was saying and it just sounded like screaming.

Yeah our classes are great with Sumlin, probaly the best they could be. But LSU's is still so far ahead of us man. We are chasing a Linebacker (Kenny Young) that would probably be top 3 biggest gets of our class and he WANTS an LSU offer and cant get one. We have a long ways to go to compete with LSU and Bama on the recruiting front.

Well no ****. They've also won national championships in the last ten years. It has more to do with that than being "cool". Sumlin has added the "cool" factor to A&M since he's been here.

Your reasoning was LSU is winning recruiting because of the "cool" factor when that isn't the reason. We are still up and coming - players already know LSU and Bama are good and will be good. They have established that - we've had one really good season in the SEC and one good season. That doesn't overtake LSU and Bama's championships over the last ten years.

It is one factor of many, I am not saying its the only one. And no, Sumlin has added a cool entrance. Thats it, and itwears off quickly.

I was referring to the whole game. LSU's is MUCH cooler. and probably would have been way better if both teams had less losses and there was better weather. were you there?

I'm all about rap/hip hop, but hearing that crap on TV was terrible... Must've been worse live. Not surprised that's what LSU plays, though.

Sumlin has added a lot more than an entrance. The recruits come for more than just the game. They see practice and the game and the atmosphere in the locker room. Obviously the game day experience is a big part of it but it's not the only "cool" thing to recruits. And no I wasn't there but I have friends who were and were unimpressed with the crowd the whole game.

I can guarantee you one of the following: they sat up top, or are too biased for reasoning. It was nuts in there. And as I said and others have said, it was a down game for their crowd.

The weather was awful. Cold and rainy. Plus the game was a rout from the beggining. Any crowd in America would have been lackluster under similar circumstances.

Yeah I was in the lower bowl and it was CRAZY loud.

For those who weren't there, click the link to hear what the song sounded like in the stadium. It's been 10 years since I've been to an LSU game so I had no clue what their current game presentation was like. When I heard it before kickoff, I just cracked up and looked at my brother (who's a big LSU fan) who started dancing along to it for effect. Enjoy!

Great source. I mentioned him in my OP on Premium this morning. For one, he sat up top.
For two, he has the darkest shaded maroon sunglasses of anyone I have seen. He's a great guy, but a little too biased to use as a source on this matter.

I didn't mind the music. They definitely have more energy in the crowd than we do except for our absolute biggest of games. Tailgating wasn't massive but everyone was super cool and nice. We were shocked. I kelp waiting for someone to talk trash and it never came. We had a blast except watching out team play completely uninspired. The suck the tiger d song was absolutely sung and acted out throughout the stadium, not just the student section. The people next to us were saying how they've tried very hard to get rid of it but it just won't die. Being cold and wet for three hours sucked though.

Considering the weather, I thought LSU fans were very loud and into the game. They do all their yells and cheers, and all the old guys are standing up yelling off and on throughout the game. In my opinion, they are way more into the game than our old Ags.

We got there about 4 hours early and there were tailgaters on every corner of campus. I saw lots of LSU tailgates welcoming A&M fans, including us (free beer, food, etc). Despite the crappy weather and crappy performance by our team, it was a great gameday experience. Anyone saying otherwise, was sitting their butt on the couch and finding excuses to complain about music selection. What you didn't see was LSU special teams players getting into the music and running around pumping up the crowd and student section during the TV timeouts prior to kickoffs. The place was going nuts.

Old Ags seem more interested in telling war stories than cheering for their team.

I cant express this enough. The mood on those kickoffs really held throughout the next drive, every time.

Our players do that when we are playing well too.

I was in the lower bowl and despite the weather and the half-full stands at the beginning, it was LOUD. The acoustics of that place are impressive. Even at the end of the game when we'd been routed and the stands were mostly empty, it still seemed pretty loud.

That song did cause some ear bleeding.

I heard that tiger neck song for the first time and I absolutely love it. Not the vulgar version Just get that tiger neck nick or whaever they say. WOW. but the real song. No wonder all their fans get into the game. It's short, has a great beat, and the hand version is terrific. Even the old timers do it. That place makes Kyle look like a cemetery. Our milkmen don't even do yells for us and the songs we have are so drawn out and LONG and stiff. LSU fans know how to enjoy a game and they don't need a jumbotron or cell phones to do it. Just get that tiger neck nick or whaever in the hell they say. Cool.

On tv it sounded like they were playing a vinyl record and it kept skipping over and over.

Talk all the sh-t on their music that you want, but the crowd was pumped up the entire time and so were the players. I wish we could replace some of the commercials/presentations with that type of "trashy" music.
