Guy is a known liar. Why believe him now?
Yeah, I assumed they were the guys who said they witnessed it but didn't see the money change hands because they went into another room. So in two cases we have sources who have witnessed the signing sessions but nothing more, which is even more implausible. Who just hangs out in people's hotel rooms for three/four hours while some guy signs pictures?
That, with rovell's comment that this was brought to him by someone who was disgruntled with Johnny's behavior this summer, makes it seem obvious to me that his source is a pissed off ex buddy of Johnny. Find out who he kicked out of his entourage in march and you have your source.
Isn't he the only person Rovell named as a source in all of his stories about this? He named him is the first breaking story.

He never claimed Tieman was a source in the first place.
But he does all of a sudden go from two to three. So I wonder who that third one might be if it is not Tienman.

Just pointing it out because many people seemed to think tieman was a source. Hence all the comments about Rovell trusting a drug dealer.

I don't think Rovell has to trust his source. I mean he ran with a story from a teenager about an escort service.

Someone I know with ties to Kerrville said this when it first came out. Said basically some of Johnny's friends are bitter and there was some stupid falling out maybe over a girl or something. I took it with a grain of salt. He probably read that on texags, but still interesting that you bring it up too.

So rereading the original OTL story, 2 guys who "knew of the arrangement" with Tieman were the source, and Tieman has NOT spoken with ESPN.

Earlier in the reports he was doing he said he was before we found a picture of Drew with Manti Teo. I am still trying to figure the connection there. Darren, drew, and Manti Teo.

He (and pretty much anybody with a brain) knew the likelihood of Johnny getting through 2 years of eligibility with no major stories was slim to non-existant.
He'd already sown the seeds, coupled with his prior experience in memorabilia & knew a storm was coming. He just had to find the "sources" to either: lie or turn on Johnny.

Again, this guy is so bush league. No legit journalist doing a serious story would confirm or deny who their sources are. This is info-tainment with an agenda. This guy was writing anti-A&M articles even before he got the hard on for Manziel.
