CB prediction for #277, Derick Hunter has changed recently from 0% [while a Florida State commit] to 55%.

We aren't taking 4 more. Banks and Hunter are the guys.

We can take up to 4 more. However if we take any more than 2 more jimbo will be making decisions for players that fans will frown at.

Yeah I'm aware of that. Even taking 26 this class we are going to need something in the neighborhood of 14 players leave between now and summer to get under the 85.

IMO, there will be more than 14 players who will see "Jimbo's writing on the wall" and transfer. Any player can transfer to a FCS team and play right away.

Dilemma: Playing fulltime at a FCS program or weaker FBS program vs. sitting on the bench at A&M.

Looch has been adamant that 26 is a concretely hard cap.

Still, any combo of Banks, Hunter, or Sheppard would be golden.

Hunter looks like a superior alternative to Stripling or U., and either of Banks or Sheppard fits the "best available" model.

Update on my last three (of four) possibilities:

CB Marcus Banks [Ags 94%], SDE Derick Hunter [Ags 55%], and OT Jovonne Shepherd [sips 57%, Ags 43%].

The 26 number we can take this year is because of the 25 man hard cap. It has nothing to do with what fans might frown upon or getting rid of players from the 85. If we had room to take 28, we'd take 28 and nudge 2 more guys out.

I think jimbo surprises with a couple big flips after our big bowl win. Best Aggie class ever.

1) In no way am I saying they are the same, but kind of funny the only two guys to really make it were brothers.

Sopsher is an absolute difference maker. I wish we had room for his brother too. LSU only team to offer both of them.

And Banks to Bama. Three commitment losses in a row. We have a nice class but it would be fun to finish with some sort of excitement. MidTn and Beerad, any insight on the inability to finish out the class with a top ranked piece? Did we get in too late? Brewster's departure sap some excitement?

Some of the CBs will end up leaving Bama to get playing time.

Doesn't look like very promising finish... Shephard has been tu commit all along and has so many other visits. We are first so could be out of sight out of mind with 3 more visits after us..

Last year, Jimbo brought in a lot of nice surprises on signing day, but he had a lot more room... we got a great class already but I hate to slip down and lose some momentum and finish 7-10...

There are huge guys in 2020 class that were in the mix so if we can land a top 5 class we can have 1-2 class next year.

Big setback. Devonta Lee (LB) decided to "reschedule" his visit. Not sure if that means we are out of the running or what. He is supposed to reschedule. Let's hope so. We definitely need some gains here at the end of the recruiting cycle.

I agree an issue about building momentum at the finish line this cycle is we have so few spots left. Hard to get kids excited about well u have a committable offer if x-y-z happens..

Mowry made the grades so he's in. Joshua Ellison might not make the grades.

That leaves 1-3 spots available:

Shepherd, Devonta Lee, Ellison, Christopher Russell, Ainias Smith and Jay Ward are some names to know. Jimbo could always surprise with some big names, however.

Recruiting is probably down to Mowry (for certain?), Shepherd (if we can flip him), and maybe Ward, Smith, Russell, or a surprise???
