It wasn't a good interview. Based off what he was saying he wants to go to LSU but they can't offer early playing time so he'll probably end up at Houston.

Thanks. Any player should be smart enough to see through the early playing time promise, and know that the only way they play early is if they out perform the competition in practice, regardless of what the coach says during recruiting.

If he's interested in early playing time, he could get it with us. Alonzo Williams graduates this year, Hardreck Walker and Jay Arnold graduate next year. Obioha is getting time at DT and graduates this year. Plenty of opportunities to get into the rotation...

Oliver went to the same high school as Hardreck Walker (Westfield HS in Spring) and they have become a beast in recent years playing in a very strong district. Their head coach was hired at U of H for one reason.....to recruit Houston. Westfield is the same high school that hired Emory Bellard as his last coaching job.

^^yup. And Herman the new HC is selling the stars to everyone, so Oliver is seriously considering them unfortunately. Needs to realize his overwhelming best chance for exposure and development is at A&M in the SEC.

A&M isn't even in the picture for him if he doesn't choose UH.

Right, I forgot when LSU is in the fight for any recruit (then by the lsu fan formula), A&M automatically is not. Yes A&M is in the picture, maybe not as his top two, but we are still recruiting him and he has shown some previous interest. It ain't over until the fat lady sings.

Did I say LSU would land him? Also, show me where he has any interest in A&M? All predictions show UH, LSU, or UT with UH leading. He has spoken numerous times about LSU and i haven't heard a thing about A&M. Doesn't really matter though bc he will probably end up at UH.

Is there any chance this sticks? I imagine it's more of a publicity thing when a player like Oliver(or Jordan Scarlett last cycle) commits to a non P-5 school that they have heavy connections to. Even if/when Ed goes elsewhere, UH will have gained the spotlight and a lot of recruiting momentum. Then, he can say he helped out his former coach and his brother while also doing what's best for himself.

No pr stunt. He may or may not stick there. I suspect this fall he will visit other schools and realize what a game at UH is really like. Not sure he decommits but there is going to be a lot of pressure on him. What cracks me up is TOS saying he was a tu lock from the beginnIng.

Sumlin and staff just doesn't recruit hard enough in Houston area. Every recruit says some other school is recruiting harder than A&M.

I take back what I said. Watched this kids film, he's fantastic. Moves like a man much smaller than he is.

KDS needs to stay after him, coogarhigh sucks all the way around. Anyone know anyone with a coogarhigh diploma?? Educating sucks. Football there sucks.

Would love to flip this kid.

Yeah, smart people don't hang there hat on a diploma. They actually go out and prove what they can do in the real world. I've actually worked with a true genius and he graduated from UH.
