Pregame chalk talk with Jamie for Maroon Club, Jamie was showing some analytics he has been playing with. First 6 games, team scored a 88, next 6 games improved to 94. Best team in the country right now is a 98.

He also showed some analytics showing improvement at setter.

She had a really great dump in the third set. Went up with both hands like she was going to set it and then a quick dump. SoCar was caught completely off guard. Seemed like everyone just watched the ball hit the floor.

Apathy has set in with me regarding football. Nothing about it excites me anymore.

Last year I fell in love with the Fighting Texas Aggie volleyball team because they always came to play and demonstrated a mental toughness that I have not seen from our football team since RC days. Last year the volleyball team demonstrated grit and determination and won me over.

The playoff title run sealed it for me. Taking down 3 #1 seeds and two by sweeps earned my attention and respect. The '26 version is staring to show some of that same grit and determination. What impresses me is there is no drop off in execution when bench players are brought in which is a product of good coaching & development with talent.

Jamie knows how to coach, develop & motivate. We are lucky to have him.

It is sad the football team is so far removed from this model and level of execution.

Today's match was so much fun. Back up middles look like starters. Our pins had a great match. Setting was on point. Serving was great by everyone. And Gabi, such a machine. I smile every time I think we get to watch and cheer for her the next five years.

Lot of people wanted to get the stink off from the night before. Nice to have a team who shows up and performs admirably every time the lights get turned on.

And it is key to note that we didn't have all our original rotations today. Several girls were out and it didn't seem to matter. As it was said earlier in this thread, Jamie has this team ready to play no matter who is on the floor.

I love how we opened SEC play with a 3-0 sweep of South Carolina.
