Rough night for the line judges. 3 in/out challenges by Aggies all overturned. Two were not close, that first one was ridiculous ball hit FEET out of bounds and was called in.

Loved the game tonight. Didn't realized I missed watching live volleyball in-person so much until our team stepped on the court.

A few thoughts:
  • Hard to see some stuff on TV but the big servers were serving big serves tonight. Ring and Manning were on. Gabi was pin point precise.
  • Impressive kills from everyone. Ring regaining her superpowers. Fitch gaining superpowers. Sharp plays with a lot of confidence.
  • Blocking is excellent versus opponents of this caliber but there were still giant holes in the block. I can't tell if it was just excellent setting by the opposing setter or slowness in reaction time.
  • We had issues with receiving short serves. The passes were too low making the set and attack powerless which arkstate capitalized on in the subsequent attack.
  • I don't feel like our out of system bump sets are accurate enough. It's hard enough to hit OOS. Too many bump sets are way tight. Need to turn defense into offense.
Big takeaway is the team is gaining confidence rapidly and learning to play with each other. Great effort all around. Very few balls hit the floor on scramble plays. This was a super fun game to welcome the season back for the fans.

Shout out to the DJ. Not a big fan of high decibel music at the sporting events, but the music at Volleyball is consistently not as loud as the other venues. Plus he lowers the volume when we do yells, referee announcements, etc. And he does a nice mix, not constant rap, even mixing in Dolly songs yesterday. DJ/music for volleyball is a model for what I'd like to see at the other sports.

It was still a little loud for me, but I did love the variety of music that was played
As you said, it wasn't all rap and surprisingly had quite a few older songs mixed in.
