Agreed with observations above about the scrimmage last night.

Additionally
- I thought passing was solid. It was not for most of the spring games (especially the first six), making it hard to really gauge how the setters were doing.
- There were constant substitutions in and out yesterday at all positions, and several players even changed teams between sets. I think this contributed to the defense winning many battles. When passing and set were clean there were some dominant kills but it seemed like just as many contested / blocked. Coach Morrison mentioned he was pleased with the defensive performance.
- Morgan Perkins played just as much as the 4 middles. Does she have a role with the team or staff this fall?? At first I thought maybe one was going to sit or had a minor injury leading to her helping out but they all played.

Conjecture:
- I think OPP is not as clear cut as we (the fans) want it to be at this point. Purpose of this scrimmage was to give everyone time on the court and get in front of the fans. Don't be surprised if the staff is keeping the real plan close to the vest until we play Louisville.

IMO it was hit and miss. There were a few terrific saves but also some easy balls hitting the floor too. That should improve with time on the court together though. This team will need a lot of in-game time together to get their chemistry right. They are really starting with an untouched block of clay from a chemistry standpoint.

My only gripes from the scrimmage would be this and serving errors. We've got some really great hitters/blockers.

I'm super curious to see who gets PT right out of the gate.
