Medical 'experts' struggle to explain Africa's very low Covid vaccination and death rates

If there is one dramatic case study that seems to upend the vaccination absolutists, it is Africa, many of whose countries are too poor to have mass vaccination programs, yet which has the lowest death toll from Covid in the world. The AP reported last year: Scientists mystified, wary, as Africa avoids COVID disaster.

There is something "mysterious" going on in Africa that is puzzling scientists, said Wafaa El-Sadr, chair of global health at Columbia University. "Africa doesn't have the vaccines and the resources to fight COVID-19 that they have in Europe and the U.S., but somehow they seem to be doing better," she said.

Fewer than 6% of people in Africa are vaccinated. For months, the WHO has described Africa as "one of the least affected regions in the world" in its weekly pandemic reports.

Not sure if you are looking for a discussion, but it's not really some big mystery. In general, COVID19 kills old and obese people. The average age in Africa is young (in the 20's iirc), and there isn't very much obesity. So COVID will be much less deadly. Also, your quote specifically points out the poverty and substandard medical systems. So there is no widespread testing being done for COVID. Vital statistics in these places such as birth rates, death rates, disease prevalence, and such are going to be a lot less accurate in a poor African country versus your standard western one

Greater than 50% of sub Saharan Africans are younger than 25 years of ageā€¦most are not over weight, lots of exposure to sunlight and probably Karen-free!

Go Africa!

No idea if this explains anything, but I believe Ivermectin is used prophylactically in Africa to prevent the spread of malaria. Could have the additional benefit of reducing Covid spread/symptoms.

You mean like all the people in the west whose COD was inaccurately charted as COVID?

Die in a car accident- COVID- Ya know that whole thing?

Because western charts were so much more accurate except they weren't and now that the quiet part is being said we have found out that death rates were inaccurately inflated because hospitals were incentivized by the government to inaccurately chart.

Thinking it's HCQ that's very commonly used prophylactically. (could be wrong) - but the point is the same.

With the new studies coming out showing the vaccines can cause all kinds of problems you probably need to rethink your answer .. it's probably the vaccines .. no other explanation .. especially with cancer rates of the vaccinated now starting to sky rocket .. this is it looking good .. DNA form the vaccines now said to cause destruction of healthy gut bacteria that protects the body from cancer and all kinds of deseases. Not good

Didn't you hear? Covid is over and yet people are still obsessively wrong about vaccines.

https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/985529

Linked article shows that COVID vaccines saved the lives of 3 million Americans. When the reports of cancer cases get to 1/100 of that number then get back to me. From what I've seen in professional sources, there isn't even any proven link from the vaccine to cancer anyway.

Without vaccination, the U.S. would have had 1.5 times more infections, 3.8 times more hospitalizations, and 4.1 times more deaths, the modeling indicates.
Seems a bit lazy and suspect to still be fabricating models at a point when comparative analysis is now an option, doncha think?

Lazy seems to be the most preferred method these days.
