"COVID-19 vaccination was "significantly associated" with a 25% jump in emergency medical services (EMS) for heart problems in 16-39 year-olds in Israel, whose vaccination rate is among the world's highest, according to a peer-reviewed study by MIT researchers.

Published last week in the Nature journal Scientific Reports, the study found no association with COVID infections, however.

"While not establishing causal relationships, the findings raise concerns regarding vaccine-induced undetected severe cardiovascular side-effects and underscore the already established causal relationship between vaccines and myocarditis, a frequent cause of unexpected cardiac arrest in young individuals," the study says.

The research adds more fuel to the legal and grassroots campaigns against compelled vaccination."

This study focuses on the increased risk of heart issues in relation with the COVID vaccine for a certain age group. Furthermore, the study found no association of heart issues with COVID infection. Unfortunately, I fear that more news like this will surface as time progress.

Did Israel ever have a corona surge equivalent to their massive vaccine rollout?

The study did not look at vaccination status, infection status, etc. It just looked at aggregate numbers.

Does anyone actually believe these shots don't increase the risk of heart problems? I thought even this board had come around to that reality.

Click on the link within that article. It provided detailed analysis on infection/vaccination status.

Is it short term increased risk after vaccination or does is wane over time? I haven't seen much either way.

Also, it seems to be mRNA jabs responsible, no? It is it just those were more widely used?

Mainly ask because I had J&J March of '21

Myocarditis is associated with mRNA vaccine specifically in males age 12-39. It happens within a week of vaccine not later. A small number of these patients have long term myocardial dysfunction.

So if nothing happens within a week then everything is good? I have a few friends whose kids took the COVID vaccine and now they are concerned. Are there tests they can do to detect signs of myocarditis?

Yes if it has been > a week then don't worry. Yes there are blood tests, echocardiograms, EKGs that can diagnose myocarditis but no reason to spend $$$$$ if no symptoms.

The incidence is roughly 1:100,000 so very rare overall.
