Sense of smell comes and goes after Covid?

I had covid a couple weeks before christmas. Never bothered to get tested, but everyone in my house started having some congestion and allergy-like symptoms around the same time. Nothing too major for any of us, but about four or five days in I noticed I completely lost my sense of smell. My daughter's lost their sense of taste, and that's when I figured that we probably all had Covid.

Smell was gone completely for me for 3 to 4 weeks but then started to come back about 3 weeks ago. Problem is, in these last 3 weeks my sense of smell seems to come and go at times. I'll have days where I smell quite a lot of things, and then the next day will hardly smell anything at all.

Anyone else experienced something similar? It's a bit frustrating because I'm missing out on some great smells.... For example, yesterday I couldn't smell what I was grilling outside at all, but last weekend I smelled the grill completely fine.
