I had COVID in early November 2020. Got my vax x2 in April 2021 (Moderna). Got a booster in November 2021. And just got COVID again (positive test x2) on 12/31/2021.

This seems relatively uncommon but does anyone know how uncommon? Didn't know what the data had to suggest about it. Guessing original infection was alpha variant and the most recent one is omicron (i.e. not delta based on timing/severity).

This is very common.

cool. thx. i thought timing might be impactful.

'very common' seems like sound scientific data! j/k btw.

It seems like Omicron will make you sick whether you are vaccinated, boosted, or have naturally acquired immunity.

We are also seeing vaccinated people get delta as their vaccine wears off.

I have one friend who went through a similar timeline, but her second round with COVID was about 6 weeks ago before Omicron really hit. She was sicker the second time. Her PCP was going to test her for some common autoimmune diseases just to make sure they weren't missing something. But I think a lot of it is just not knowing enough about COVID and the variants yet.

Covid November of 20 vaxxed Phizer x2 and just got over omnicron.
He is my main issue, I am having problems staying on track when presenting.
My body wants to call it a day around 3pm and I'm having these crippling chills. When they hit it's like my body is trying to explode. It literally looks like my chest is going to rip off.

I had covid between shots this summer and just had it again a couple weeks ago. I'm 40 and neither was terrible. So far the worst experience I've had was my response to the second shot. That was the worst I've felt in 10 years.

It's not uncommon. Literally hundreds of thousands of people taking the at home test testing positive. non of that shows up in some database anyhwere.

I know literally 3 dozen people who have tested positive twice after recovering from covid and getting the shots...myself included.

we can put that BS narrative to bed.

My daughter had the J&J shot last March. Before it took, within a week she had Covid. She's got it again now but is not nearly as sick. No booster. She plans to get boosted with Moderna at first chance.

Is this time much milder than previous? What symptoms are you exhibiting and how bad are they?

Almost all of the people I know with Covid right now are vaccinated. The people that have been exposed and do not have it are not vaccinated but had Covid already.

I'm previously infected in March '21 and got the shots. I just recovered/tested negative again after omicron and am experiencing these symptoms as well, especially the brain fog and the fatigue/physical exhaustion by early evening. Weird and I hope it abates soon.

Just about the same with me. First bout of COVID in November of 2020. Got the J&J shot in April of 2021. Just got COVID again. My wife is exactly the same, except she got the full Pfizer set of shots.

Luckily this time around it's just a bad cold. Had a mild fever for a day or so, but that was about it.

My BiL just got over Omicron. He had a sore throat for a couple days and that was it. He never had covid previously and had been vaccinated + booster with Moderna. I'm still unclear why he tested.

Wife and I had covid November 2020, got J&J in September 2021 (due to mandate at work), and despite being around my BiL for all of the Christmas holidays nobody in my family got sick.

i wouldn't call it milder but different. first time was a 1/2 day of fever and 2-3 days of fatigue. Also lost sense of smell.

This time around it was 2 days of cold-like symptoms (namely congestion and sore throat) but that's it. No loss of smell thus far. I'd also add that the cold seems to be making its way through the house so I can't say that this didn't affect me as much as covid.
