Starting December 30, Walmart and Sam's Club pharmacies will dispense the oral drugs through the U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Therapeutics Program, according to a news release. Select locations are receiving limited supplies of the COVID-19 antiviral medication.

Customers will need a prescription from a healthcare provider to receive the medication. It will only be available at Walmart and Sam's Club by curbside pickup or drive-thru pharmacy windows.

And ivermectin has been available at Tractor Supply this whole time.

So is Miracle-Gro. If you'd like actual medicine you should probably go to a pharmacy not an ag supply store.

So what's the easiest way to get a prescription these days? Push health?

Have family that just test positive with risk factors. Can't get in anywhere due to New Year's.

Thanks for the notification. I started feeling bad Wednesday after multiple exposures in my family and tested positive yesterday. After reading your post I did an evisit with my provider and asked them to call in a script to my local Walmart. I was the first person my doctor practice had that asked for it and it is a very large practice at BSW Dallas. They called it in at 5:30 and my wife picked it up before they closed at 6:00. Started with three pills tonight and three twice per day until all gone. I received the Pfizer formula which is actually two different drugs with each dose. Once again, thanks for posting the info.

I am trying to get a prescription for one of these for my wife. She tested positive early this morning and is running a fever/aches/chills/etc.

Have done 2 virtual appointments, one with Memorial Hermann and one with MD live. Both say they cannot prescribe (don't have access to) the new antivirals.

Memorial Hermann also indicated that because she is otherwise healthy, she is not eligible for monoclonal antibody treatment.

Says she should follow up with her primary care, which obviously won't be happening soon due to New Years.

Feeling frustrated. Any help appreciated.

The large medical networks have been highly useless during this whole thing.

I would call around to all the freestanding ERs and urgent cares and ask. Seems the front desk people at these places have become pretty well educated and seem to be the most helpful. Or if they aren't far away, go walk in the door and ask.

Walmart has created a page where you can see which pharmacies have it.

Anyone aware of telemed doc or group that would discuss a Paxlovid script with my 80yo grandmother? Her GP at Kelsey and a Methodist urgent care doc both said they aren't able to prescribe it yet due…advised her to just rest and go to ER of blood ox drops.

I've felt pretty well since Saturday evening with no fever since Friday. Never lost my taste or smell senses but I do have a metal taste when not eating or drinking something with flavor. That is starting to fade away this evening. Other than that and some morning vertigo that eventually goes away, I feel back to 100%. I can't really say whether medicine got me well faster or not but I am still taking it and there have been no negative side effects. Thanks for asking.

Most Wal Mart allocations haven't actually been delivered yet. As of yesterday there were doses available in northern houston suburbs about 1-1.5hr drive from BCS.
