I'm sure this is covered elsewhere, but if you need to get tested for travel, work, or other…what's the best way?

Google free COVID testing near me.

In College Station it is through Curative. Free self administered test and get results within an hour or two.

Are those self-administered tests valid for international travel? I'm going to need to do that in a few weeks.

Ive always thought testing with CVS was very easy. Set up an appointment online and get results back the next day. Ive done it a few times for my last 2 international trips.

Not in most cases- it has to be witnessed by someone. Too easy to just not swab and say it is negative.

The Woodlands Township offers those tests. I thought they stood there and watched you swab yourself (to make sure you did it correctly) and then mailed it off, but I'm not sure.

Yes that would likely work. That is how the Curative tests are done they just watch you swab yourself.

My work hands them out like candy. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with them.

Most countries require the PCR test to enter. Keep that in mind when getting your covid test. I dont think the Antigen or the abbott rapid test will work.

Thats why I like CVS because you can choose which test you want. You can go 3 days before your flight and should have your results back before then.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering - if they are PCR. Good to know CVS lets you choose

I am really surprised that there aren't testing kiosks at airports to meet this need. Or maybe there are now and i just haven't noticed.

I wouldn't want to cut it that close. In the event I test positive, I want time to cancel my reservations. And I'm not going to make a special trip to the airport to get a test if I can do it at CVS.

They have onsite testing facilities at most airports, but they cost like $200-$220 for the tests.
