Goes over whether the vaccine is truly necessary for kiddos, in his opinion given the data that we currently have. At this point, he thinks there should be no mandates for kids. Evidence isn't compelling enough, especially given the rare and still possible chance of myocarditis. While the chance of myocarditis is higher in areas with prevalent covid cases, it flips if there isn't a major spike to the vaccine being higher. And if your kids have had Covid, there just isn't enough evidence to suggest you need to give them the vaccine.

Again, stresses "given the current data" and that obviously things could and probably will change with more study. But really brings home the level of knee jerk reaction going on right now regarding mandates and our kiddos.

How does one, or an agency, make an ethical and conscience decision if the side effects from the virus or the vaccine are so minuscule that you should ask whether this is even worth debating? Especially considering a mandate.

It seems similar to subject matter experts in the business world. They are so focused on only one issue or problem and coming up with a resolution, except no one else even takes time to acknowledge or relate to them bc it doesn't effect them.

Now imagine that subject matter expert's opinion has been on blast 24/7 for two years. Thats where we are with mandates and children.

Mandating the vaccine for kids is a perception move and not science.

Before school started we were at near apocalypse level events. Kids were overwhelming hospitals with covid and that was going to grow exponentially without mask mandates and the like. If the CDC admitted the vaccine isn't really needed then a natural progression is why was there all this panic 3 months earlier. Fear is a powerful tool for control.

Emergency authorization should be restricted to use for emergency situations. And CLEARLY that's not the situation for the youth population.

But here we are, slip slip slipping down the slope regardless what statistics and real science indicate.

Unless your kid has a severe underlying medical condition, you have to be insane to actually feel like they need to be vaccinated. I would never give my kid a vaccine with no longitudinal data for something that poses effectively no risk to them.

Covid was horrible for my daughter who was 2 at the time, she was sleepy for half a day and took a morning nap. Woke up and was acting like normal. More kids die in the USA from diarrhea than Covid

That's terrifying. I have read similar stories in VAERS for young teenagers.

Given I expect more coronaviruses in our future, I'm of the mind that someone catching it while young and healthy will give their immune system the best, most well rounded chance at managing the next one. So I think you may actually doing them a disservice to vaccinate them now

People who can tolerate the virus and build an immunity with a low rate of adversity are exactly what is needed to form "herd immunity". This infection effects kids less than other cohorts. Leave them be.
