That is a far too hasty conclusion.NASAg03 said:

But yes, let's mandate vaccines and masks for school children because that will make covid go away and THEN we can finally return to normal...

It's not lies, but its curated to tell a story. Comparing percent change of two data sets is meaningless if the two numbers weren't similar to begin with. You could easily take Florida numbers and write any combination of stories "proving" masks work.
Do you even y-axis bro? Care to post age adjusted death rates to reflect demographic differences?CondensedFoggyAggie said:
Just look at what a policy difference makes after the vaccine came out.
No wonder Florida's death rate is 47% higher than for example, California

Also, why was there a massive spike in California anyway? Weren't masks supposed to prevent these?

Cases and deaths in the SE are dropping off a cliff. This at the very time that football crazy residents are packing football stadiums and going back to school unmasked. Meanwhile cases and deaths across the mid-west, VA, and similar "covid sensitive" areas are on the upswing. Masks and cases do not correlate. They never have. Masks are purely political. Always have been.
How do you classify "protected"? Did the state of Texas restrict vaccine supply? Where did the government of Texas post fake news reports? Texas and Illinois have very similar vax rates at the moment. I'm unsure of what they were a couple months ago.CondensedFoggyAggie said:TheMasterplan said:Do you even y-axis bro? Who cares about comparing y axis since the two states have large population differences?
Look at the trends after the vaccine came out and end results. One state protected its citizens, the other completely dropped the ball resulting in a 47% higher death rate, partially because of fake news reports like the op posted
If you don't like California or Florida, switch it out with Illinois and Texas
Sure but its exaggerated by the y-axis inconsistency which is the posters intent. Post the data but don't be disingenuous.Aston94 said:
I don't think there is much arguing that the summer spike in California was much less severe than Florida's. Now why that occured can be debated, but the y-axis does confirm that the spike in California was much less this summer than Florida's.
Look at MN, WI, MI, IL, PA. Also look at Washington and Oregon. Things are trending the wrong way in those states. Will it reach the same numbers as Texas? Probably not. They don't have thousands of untested, unvaccinated illegals. I'm just saying trends don't support mask wearing. They never have. We saw the same thing in spikes last year.CondensedFoggyAggie said:HumpitPuryear said:

VA is on the upswing? Florida and Texas would love to have their upswing. Not to mention they're 40th in the nation in terms of covid death rate.

We know about those spikes and the Neanderthals that live in those states. You have not explained the increases in all of those sophisticated states that are trending up. Why are they trending up? They are doing everything right including mask and vaccine mandates.
You mean disprove every false data point, false chart, false conclusion that is leading to American deaths?NASAg03 said:

Another 2000 dead yesterday. 10 thousand dead the past week.
Maybe now you've realize all the fake news you've been spreading, though I doubt it
Look at those massive death spikes in Michigan and Minnesota. Must've not been wearing masks!CondensedFoggyAggie said:HumpitPuryear said:

I already posted Illinois above. At worst they've hit or about to their peak, which is still a ton smaller than the early year spike.

Nah we know it's Neanderthal Trumpists anti-vaxers. I'm sure it's the same in Washington and Oregon.CondensedFoggyAggie said:HumpitPuryear said:

Guess reading a graph is tough for ya.
Are you gonna blame illegals for covid spikes in..... West Virginia? Since we're making **** up anyway.
