Most likely. But with an increase in vaccinations, natural immunity and treatments the next peak should be more than manageable... Unless we get some other crazy variant *knock on wood*.

Covid:

HAS BEEN
IS
WILL CONTINUE TO BE

political…this is unavoidable. Whether you call it "red covid" (trying to equate it to a red state scourge) or being forced by employers, or Covid passes to fly or eat somewhere. These are all inherently political moves. PERIOD.

Just wait until the run-up to the midterms! I think it will make 2020 seem tame.

I'm vaccinated (and even scheduled for a booster) but refuse to carry some proof of vaccination around like some badge of honor.

Some of us don't call it any of those things. Some people do. The people who choose to do so are making it political. Most of us just want to deal with the disease.

Sucks that others are so loud when those of us who want to discuss the disease itself are drowned out by people on both ends of the spectrum.

" Most of us just want to deal with the disease."

That's not true on this board, otherwise people would want to consider all aspects including the political aspect, which is driving policy. Science isn't driving policy and that should be very concerning to everyone.

Don't we have another board that is set up to discuss policy?
This seems to be a board that was set up to discuss the actual illness, the symptoms, the treatments, the prevention, etc.

"To be clear: This is not a place to post your opinion as fact or to post information not rooted in clear facts. This is not a place to have political arguments or to detail your opinions about how well or poorly the government is handling the issue. This is not a place to rant about media conspiracies. This is not a place to critique other people for their level of concern or efforts to prepare. There are forums for (some of) those conversations, but they don't belong here.

Again, our goal is to highlight some of the helpful information from doctors, public health experts, and others that is already appearing in other forums and to give our community a specific place to ask questions and get helpful, accurate answers."

This board doesn't meet the the goals you stated for more reasons than just F16 posters.
