On Dr Revs supplements it lists NAC. Both my wife and I took it when we had Covid a year ago and it helped a lot when we started taking it.

I was looking for some for a friend that came down with it and can't find it on Amazon or anywhere else.

A quick google says it was banned from the shelves.

Can we still take this and where can we get it?

Based on what I have read.
NAC is a approved prescription drug, but it started appearing in dietary supplements over the years. FDA told supplements companies to stop (pre-covid). Then pandemic hit and people started using NAC for COVID at the same time FDA continued to tell the supplement companies to stop selling them. At this point most place has stopped selling it.

This is not true. Only Amazon stopped selling it. NAC can be found at almost every other store. Whole Foods, Central Market, Sprouts, independent pharmacies and I assume most major pharmacies. There are also plenty of online options.

My wife was extremely sick and was taking just Zinc, D and C for days. Once we added that to the cocktail she immediately started getting better. Yes, could have been coincidental and it probably was to be honest. But Dr Rev recommended it and it seemed to help us, so I want to try everything possible to help my friend.

Thanks to everyone else who was helpful in finding places to get it.

I don't mean to make fun, apologies. Also, I believe NAC does have some theoretical mechanism of action against an inflammatory response.
