How long do you want to ignore this user?
Wife and I both unvaxxed. Ive been doing the Texas cares and recently tested negative for antibodies. Wife gets sick, test positive, kids test positive, we sleep in the same bed with our heads 18" apart for a week. I continue to play and wrestle with infected kids, wipe snotty noses, etc. All that and I don't get it. Two precautionary pcr test for me and both negative.

What gives? How did I not get it? I don't know how I could have been more exposed than I was. Any chance my next antibody test will be positive even though pcr stayed negative?

It's just like any virus. Sometimes it just doesn't pass to everyone. I'm sure there have been infections run through your house prior to COVID where you and a kiddo got sick but no one else.

What is your blood type? 90% of the people I have heard this same story from are type O, myself included. No clue if it's coincidence or if there is a reason for it. But it's certainly interesting.

Wife had it in November, nothing more than a cold. I never got it, neither did my kids.

Currently...

I had chills on Sunday, confirmed a +3 degree fever Sunday night. Also had a minor headache. Work made me stay home. I went to get tested Monday PM, rapid test was negative, results of lab test came back negative yesterday PM. Monday evening...lets just say my poop was a little less than normal...but not painful diarrhea or anything. No shortness of breath, no cough, no sore throat.

I found out yesterday that a lady I work with...in somewhat close proximity...tested positive on Tuesday.

I continue to believe that some people are effectively immune without vax or prior infection - their immune system fights it off before it can take hold

Two other points of interest for what they're worth.

1. When my wife tested positive, I took full dose ivermectin for the next 5 days, assuming I had it.

2. During this entire period, I spent 8 hours a day outside doing hard physical labor. Lots of sun, sweat, and fresh air.

https://www.spring.org.uk/2021/09/blood-typ.php

"Blood group O has no antigens but contains anti-A and anti-B antibodies that are able to neutralize the virus when entering human cells."

Have no idea what that means.

https://www.verywellhealth.com/type-o-blood-covid-19-5074429

"The company's survey data shows that people with type O blood are 9% to 18% less likely to test positive for COVID-19 than people with other blood types. "

Couldn't find any recent articles until this one-

April 5, 2021 (HealthDay News) --
"A or B, AB or O, it doesn't matter -- your blood type has nothing to do with your risk of contracting severe COVID-19, a new study concludes."
