i dont recall seeing anything posted on this topic...do you just have to wait it out? does aerobic exercise make it better or does it aggravate it and make it worse? nebulizer? breathing exercises? inhaler?

Anyone have any success stories or read anything on this?

My PCP recommended taking a NAC (n-acetyl cysteine) daily because it's a great supplement for respiratory health. It can reduce mucus in your lungs and reduce inflammation. I had a very mild Covid but I wanted to make sure to boost my immune system as much as possible.

You can mostly find it online because the FDA is trying to move it from a supplement to a drug, so I took that as another sign that it's awesome and bought a huge bottle just in case.

Had pneumonia and was hospitalized. Pretty healthy young guy. 37 5'11" 190lbs and do push-ups everyday. After Covid I was reduced to short walks and 5 push-ups a day.

We had a scheduled RV trip two weeks after I got out of the hospital and it was the best thing to happen to me. The first stop was Hot Springs Arkansas and I could barely finish our 2 mile hike in the shade. Our last stop 10 Days later was Gulf Shores state park and I was throwing my kids around the pool and running up and down the beach.

So I guess being active and exercising helps a lot.

How long were you in the hospital? My doctor told me to figure a week for each day you were in the hospital for recovery to pre Covid levels. I was in for 8 days with pneumonia.

5 days. So call it 3.5 weeks before I was back to normal. Probably 5 weeks if I wasn't active for 10 days straight.

Sounds about right. Glad you are doing well and have recovered. I'm staying active and hope to recover soon. I've been out of the hospital for 10 days now and feel like I've made big improvements since getting out.
