Walked into work this morning, and one of my assistants was crying- her mother's best friend who was like an aunt to her died of covid early this morning- She was in her early 40's. Over the weekend, my wife's friend from childhood lost her daughter over the weekend to covid- she also was in her 40's. Then I got a text a little while ago from my daughter(class of 09), she's a nurse in an ECMO unit, she lost a 29 year old last week, and a 20 year old this weekend they have been struggling to save- his whole family got it, his father died first a month ago. All unvaccinated------ please get vaccinated!

Sorry for your loss. I don't know of any 20-somethings and younger who have died, 1st person or second.

People need to take care of themselves, and that's all there is to it.

Not to steal your thread, but it is raging around us as well. My 12 year old daughter is on day 7 and had a bit of a setback today. Thought she was over it and woke up sick. Wife is sick went to get tested today. Good friend from childhood and A&M Len Callaway died last week. Two of my dads drivers are sick, one in the hospital. One of my clients lost two grandparents last week. Another A&M buddy lost a grandparent. Son's baseball coach is out as are a couple of teammates.

This **** sucks.

My wife has a friend whose 24 year old son died of it last week, he was a former collegiate football player and they had issues while treating him due to his musculature. My wife isn't still close with that old friend, and neither of us knew the son, but it was still shocking since a death at that age is quite rare. It's really painful to see someone that age die for any reason, and what the parents have to experience is hard to watch.

Tragic; very sorry for your family and those you know who are grieving.

A sophomore A&M student passed away last week.

This virus is something of which we are all weary.

Very sorry for all involved. March of 2020 my friend lost her 30 year old, transplant nurse daughter who's only issue was extreme fitness. Their family will never recover. I am sorry for your losses and the last effect it will have on those around them.

Will send up some prayers for all of them. Be prepared to be accused of lying and just siting rare anecdotal instances. It happens a lot on our boards. Very sad.

Just went to get my hair cut today. The lady who cuts my hair, and also owns the shop, told me that her very fit 39-year old husband died of Covid in August. She and their 14 year old son also got it, both had severe cases of Covid pneumonia, but fortunately both lived. None of the 3 were vaccinated.

I don't know if the data supports it, but it seems that Delta is hitting younger people harder than earlier variants did.

Just got word that my uncle died. He had been on hydroxy for years for his lupus and thought that would keep him safe, so he wasn't vaccinated.
If I’m posting, it’s actually Mrs GeographyAg.
