Please know up front, this isn't meant to be a political issue or contentious issue. I'm hoping to get some perspective from the medical field.
Two separate instances, one in Newport, TN (she was a friend of a friend), the other in DFW.
26 year old woman in Newport, 8 months pregnant, positive with Covid is placed on a ventilator. Doctors decide to perform an emergency C-section. Baby is fine...mother dies three or four days later from Covid.
32 year old woman who was a classmate with my daughter at Euless Trinity. Delivers a healthy full term baby but the mother is positive for Covid. She dies two days later.
I don't know if either were vaccinated, I suspect not (but I don't say that to get into a side bar issue).
My point in raising this is that two young women, deliver healthy full (or near) term babies and die of Covid. I would welcome any thoughts from the professionals on this forum. Thank you.
