Did you get both doses of vaccine or just a single "booster" dose? I've seen doctors say you only need a single round if you previously had COVID and some say to get both. Just curious anyone else's experience with it as I've had one round of Pfizer so far and can't decide on if I need a second.

Interesting: I can't answer your question, but would you mind linking the source for doctors that have addressed this topic?

I had both. I didn't have any advice on it either way.

No side effects.

I'll try to find them. I know some of my friends whose doctors told them they only needed one so that's all they've gotten so far. I'm pretty sure the CDC recommends both. ZDoggMD, who has been one of the few level headed voices during this whole thing, recommends just a single booster for someone who has already had it.

This is the first time I've seen this course for vaccines after COVID. I had a rough case of COVID in March 2020 and got first dose of Moderna in January. Second dose was in February and had my 3rd dose booster 2 weeks ago.

I have a compromised immune system after organ transplant so I am higher risk but I would imagine most doctors will tell you to take both doses of the vaccine regardless of previous COVID.

Had both shots after Covid. No issues with it what-so-ever....

Same as above - had both after Covid - no issues. (And no suggestion by any docs - either my PCP or doctor friends - to only take one shot).

I had a moderately severe case of Covid in May 2020. Finally decided to get the Phizer shots, and I got the second one this past Sunday. I can say both shots were terrible, I had chills, sweating, fatigue, fever, aches, lethargy, and a feeling like I just wanted to sleep. Neither shot was a good experience for me.

I have read that in Israel, if you have had Covid, they only suggest one shot.

I got both.

I got both shots. I wanted to make sure I have documentation that I am fully vaccinated for travel and other purposes.

I had an extremely mild case of Covid and the two shots had no side effects other than a sore arm. I had Pfizer.

Had covid in December 2020. Got both shots of moderna in Mar/April 2021. No side effects except a sore arm with both shots. Doctor said I did not need to wait 90 days but health department would not administer the vaccine if you had covid in last 90 days.
Not sure if the 90 day wait is even a thing anymore.

Would it hurt you to get both?

I don't know, that's why I was asking people their opinion. I don't think getting just one hurts either. Guess a second dose just means longer immunity maybe? I don't know.

Haven't heard of it hurting to get both. I know that I have been 100% exposed to covid positive people multiple times in the last month. Either I did not get it or got it and was asymptomatic (never tested). So the combination of natural immunity and the two jabs have been pretty effective.

Medical personnel here who had COVID before the vaccine was available went on to receive both doses of the vaccine, based on the recommendations from our Inf Disease department.
That's all I got on the issue.

I had covid June 2020. I had both doses in January/February 2021. The shots actually helped some of my breathing/asthma issues I've had since I got covid (did not have asthma issues prior). It's not back to no asthma, but it is way better than it was.

I had Covid in December and my two Pfizer shots in March and April. I would say my immune reaction to the first shot was quite strong, and I had a reaction to the second shot but it wasn't as strong.

I had covid and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

That's what they were using the day I went over to get it.
