The problem is that Ivermectin works and the largest meta study to date proves it is effective. That is a proven fact. Yet, the FDA refuses to approve it as a Covid therapeutic for political reasons. People are left having to find find their own effective covid remedies.

I hope it does work but why are so many willing to go this route rather than using an mRNA vaccine that's been developed over decades?

Also what are the political reasons? Pushing the vaccine?

Because we don't have to. And the reaction of the leftists have proven to me to stand well clear of it.

One more important thing to note. None of these FDA, CDC, CNN or any other article cites a single reason why ivermectin is dangerous!!! The only thing they do is cite that overdose is dangerous. That's it! That's all they have. They could release the exact same warning across the board on ANY medicine. Hell, water will kill you if you drink too much.

It just infuriates me. The headline is not even remotely in line with the story. These actions by these groups only further solidifies my position that something is going on. I don't know if it is sinister, a money grab (always follow the money) or just simple hierarchical fear of being labeled as being outside the group.

Because ivermectin has been used in humans for 45 years and while mRNA has been studied for a long time it has not been used much.

Need a cite on that from that particular FDA article. Show me where they say anything about that? They don't. The headline is inflammatory and mocking, but there is nothing of substance in the article except about overdosing. Nothing about recognized dosing being dangerous. Typically drive by tweeting and hopes that people won't read.

You're not getting off that easy. You posted an article. You mocked. You had a good laugh. Now defend what you posted! The link you posted was nothing more than bs with a mocking headline and zero substance in the article. And now you want to appear righteous and part with a hand wave? Not with this guy bro. I'll hold you to your posts.

Weak article. No thought. No real science or proof of ineffectiveness. They would be better to prove it doesn't work.but can they??? Instead they say dont use the same amount as an elephant (no crap):

Taking large doses of this drug is dangerous and can cause serious harm

Never use medications intended for animals on yourself. Ivermectin preparations for animals are very different from those approved for humans.

Maybe they can quit being snarky and provide a real study.

I got the vaccine 4 months ago and ever since then I've had frequent dizzy/light headed spells and forearm pain. I've taken ivermectin before and had zero side effects.

I'm going to refuse to take the booster shot after the side effects I got from the vaccine.

Doesn't matter. It has been around for decades just has not been used yet but we know the long term impacts, still trying to work through the short term stuff but it's short term so no big deal.the long term is fine."trust us"

To pick your brain a little - could you expound on the dizziness/light headedness, forearm pain, etc? Any coordination issues, shakiness or muscle twitches?

That tweeted piece from the FDA is a prime example of why people have mistrust. It states that ivermectin is not an antiviral when that is absolutely false. The antiviral properties of ivermectin have been well known and documented for 45 years.

Does that guarantee efficacy against covid? No. However, there are studies showing how the antiviral properties have something to do with preventing the virus from binding to cells.

Perhaps that's a too nuanced and difficult to communicate position but don't lie and say the drug has no antiviral capability.

I reiterate, the bigger issue is that people in Mississippi evidently can't read well enough to understand the dosing instructions or do math well enough to calculate the conversions.

It hasn't been developed in humans study groups and has broken all bioethical bedrock standards for lack of safety verification. That would be why, maybe?
