I work in many different hospital systems as a vendor. We have to prove vaccination for Hep-B, MMR, varicella, annual TB test, flu shot, etc in order to be on site.

When you get into a new hospital you have to either produce a shot record that proves you've gotten inoculated or a blood test result that shows you produce antibodies for anything communicable. Why wouldn't employers and hospitals require the same for Covid? If I can't produce my vaccination record, why can't I just prove immunity with a blood titer?

It's too bad we can't mandate personal accountability, common sense, and freedom.

I am going to guess that the ven diagram of people that refuse to get vaccinated and the people that would take issue with a government/employer mandated blood draw is going to perfect circle.

I disagree. As one who does not want to get the vaccine for work but who has been infected by Covid, I would be happy to get a blood titer to prove I'm producing antibodies. I do it all the time to get access to new facilities for other vaccine requirements.

I'm in the same boat. Had covid, have antibodies confirmed as of last week, work is now requiring the vaccine. Not sure what I'm going to do now.

I suggest going to whoever is handling your covid response. HR, safety, whatever. There's a policy somewhere, someone wrote it. Take your results and work to get the policy changed. I made sure to include both the vaccinated and people with evidence of previous infection in our regional policies.
