Obviously we know to be "fully vaccinated" you have to be two weeks after your second dose. Are there any studies that show you have at least SOME protection earlier than that? Ex: 50% efficacy two weeks after first dose? Or does it all come at once? Thanks in advance.. can't find many articles on it..

I don't have links handy but yes you get partial protection within roughly 2 weeks of dose 1 with the mRNA vaccines. I'm not sure on the JJ vaccine.

Friend got the J&J yesterday and was instructed to wait two weeks before he can return to the office.

Wife got her Moderna three weeks ago and tested positive on Saturday. The same Saturday that she was supposed to get the second shot. She feels like crap, so I am not sure what mild symptoms are.
Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022

the way I understand it, Mild case is everything up to but not including "shortness of breath, dyspnea, or abnormal chest imaging"

From an Israeli study for Pfizer:

Adjusted rate reductions of SARS-CoV-2 infections were 30% (95% CI 250) and 75% (7284) for days 1-14 and days 15-28 after the first dose, respectively

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(21)00448-7/fulltext

So around 75% effective 14 days after the first dose.

Relatively small study (~400 healthcare workers). "Effective" means preventing symptomatic cases.
