Hey guys, need some advice. Wife just tested positive. She had her first round of vaccine last week. A little back info before my questions.

I tested positive in late December 2020. I have not been vaccinated since.

We quarantined from each other when I had it, and she never tested positive.

She received her first round of vaccine last week.

I had a somewhat strong cold this past week. Never noticed a fever and no other major symptoms of covid.

Edited to include: We're both under 30 years old, and have no major risk factors.
Couple questions.

1. Is it possible that I was infected last week and thought it was a cold? (Not sure how much natural immunity helps with major symptoms)

2. Does she wait to receive her next dosage after her 10 days are up? Or does she have to start at the first dose again if she missed her appt for the 2nd dosage?

3. For the doctors/health care folks reading this, any other recommended meds other than Vitamin C, D and zinc?

Thanks in Advance!

See the thread at the top called "Covid-19 Update Aggie Physician". I have been taking this regimen since testing positive on Saturday.

You have not addressed anything about her. Why was she tested? What are her symptoms? Is she actually sick? If so, she should see her PCP and get on steroids. If she has any risk factors, she would be a candidate for monoclonal antibodies. You really haven't given enough information for someone to base any advice upon.

Symptoms are fever, cough and congestion. That is why she got tested. If you had read my entire post, you would have seen that we are both under 30, and have no risk factors. I mostly wanted opinions on how her vaccine schedule should look, and the chance that I had it last week. I haven't been able to find much info on natural immunity and it's ability to fight off the delta variant. Me being a teacher, I have considered getting the vaccine. But if I was recently infected, I would probably lean towards not getting it. Thanks for your help.

Vitamin C, Zinc, Quecertin. You can get all this **** at CVS for probably <$20 to lessen the symptoms. Vitamin D for her and everyone else in the household.

If she has especially pronounced symptoms, pushhealth and get Rx'd some ivermectin. For severe symptoms, you might also get a Pulse Oximeter. They should be in stock mostly everywhere by this point.

What did her doctor tell you when you gave them all of this information?

Get your vaccine! Neighbors son is in his mid twenties and has had COVID 3 times. The last was the absolute worse. Natural Immunity did not work for him!

The vaccines are the same shot each time. The interval doesn't really matter, or at least hasn't been optimized, so she won't have to start over. Just wait until she's better to get the second shot.

That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

If she got her first shot last week, she will be well before she is due for her second shot. She should discuss her positive test during process with her doc or shot administer.
