I'm not looking to find a conspiracy. What they said efficacy meant and what it means are different things. My parents didn't get the vaccine to get less sick. Show me ANY press or news headlines or interviews where they describe the vaccine that way.

We never told people to get the vaccine to get less sick.

Remember the phrase - stop the spread? Think about that and what it implies.

What do you think "reduction in symptomatic disease" means? It is not the fault of the medical and/or scientific community that you are easily confused.

Do you recall "reduction in symptomatic disease" as a selling point for the vaccine?

I'm far from easily confused, Dick head.

"Reduction in symptomatic disease" is really quite clear. "Sterilizing immunity" may take a googling to understand, but not a hard concept. If those two 3rd grade level concepts are within reach, then the idea that one could be vaccinated, symptomatic, but at less risk for severe disease, and for spreading to others (not infectious for as long an interval) should also be attainable.

The reason I'm being a dick is because it is obvious from your posts that you probably understand all of these things, but you are engaging in ridiculous rhetorical arguments because of politics, or "muh freedom", or whatever.

The data are overwhelming and conclusive. The path out of this mess is clear. Why engage in this insanity?

Let me say it slowly for those that just want to argue.

They said the vaccine would STOP the virus from infecting people. That's NOT what the vaccine does.

But it does. If you are 8x likely to catch it if you are unvaccinated it does stop many people from getting infected. Thanks for saying it slowly. I now know what dumb point you're trying to make.

Yes. Perhaps because I preferred to watch actual briefings rather than listen to Sean Hannity.

Edit: reduction in symptomatic disease was the primary endpoint of all three trials dating back to 2020 (before the results of said trials was known).

Feel free to Google it and/or actually read the trial designs. It's all there.
