I've read some promising articles about the effectiveness of Pulmicort (the asthma drug), especially early on after contracting covid.

Has anyone tried this?

My wife had some long-covid lingering symptoms back in the Spring. Her doctor prescribed it and had good success. He's now pulled her off of it. The only side effect she had was it made it her wired if taken too late in the day and she would sometimes have trouble getting to sleep. I think that's with most steroids though.

Interesting. I haven't heard of taking it for long-term covid effects.

I wonder if it would help early on after contracting covid.

Seems like a good thing to have in your back pocket if you get it.

I was prescribed pulmicort (aka Budesonide) via nebulizer when I had covid it did wonders. I am an asthmatic and while my albuterol gave me some relief, the pulmicort really helped. Within 2 days I had no issues breathing and was just left with loss of smell/taste and fever.

I also had the unmentionable HCQ + Zinc combo as well..... but hey.... the main stream media says it doesn't work cause orange man said it 'might'.

Talk to your doctor cause I am not one.

Pretty normal side effect.

Prednisone is often prescribed for viral and respiratory infections that cause significant respiratory distress. Having suffered numerous childhood asthma attacks and illness, I had this all the time. The normal nervousness/restlessness/minor shakes is a small price to pay for the benefit of more quickly recovering.

For me, melatonin in the evening helped overcome restlessness and allowed me to fall asleep better.

As always, consult your Dr. - I am fortunate enough to have an NP for a wife
