How do I get a doctor invite for Push Health? I don't have a PCP, live in Houston. Was there a doctor on the boards who can assist?

You dont need a doctor invite, you dont even need insurance. Just go on Push Health and request whatever medicine it is that you want. Then they match you with a doctor who prescribes that medicine. Very easy.

The app said I needed an invite tied to my email.

Going to the website pushhealth.com allowed me to make the request. Thank you,

I just recently used Push Health and got a prescription filled. I didn't know how many to ask for and only put in for a quantity 50 pills. Do you have to pay another 65 bucks to get another prescription filled? Or is there a different place to do a bulk order?

Yes, everytime you ask for a refill or a prescription, its considered a "doctors visit" and will charge $65.

50 pills is going to cost you a lot Im assuming. Plus, Im not sure a pharmacy would fill that order. The push health doctor prescribed me 30 pills and CVS made me pick up part of orders in separate weeks.

I did mine through a CVS out here. The doctor that prescribed it set it up as 25 pills with a one time refill. I was hoping to do mine as a preventative for right now but seems like it's hard to get that many prescribed especially when I have to take 5-6 per dose. Thanks for the replies. Always appreciate it. And hope you've been feeling better.

Thank you kindly. I've heard of people getting cheap ivermectin in bulk from Indian pharmacies online. I might check it out.

I'm assuming Push Health gives you the proper dosage for human consumption. Realizing you could do your own math if you bought OTC at feed store but I would actuallly prefer to have a doctor do the math for me.

Maybe ea1060 can confirm my assumption on if proper dosage provided by PushHealth. Can't imagine it wouldn't be, obviously.

for those who have taken it, does Invermectin help speed up the process of getting taste/smell back?

Maybe, maybe Not. But I think it'll help speed up the recovery process, whatever your symptoms may be. Either way, taking it won't hurt.

Correct, the doctor that push health assigns to you will determine the proper dosage for your body weight. At 175 lbs, I was prescribed a 15 MG dosage per day.

However, depending on if you currently have covid or have long term symptoms, will determine what dosage you should take (15 mg for 5 days straight, or 15 mg on day 1 and day 3). My doctor didn't really know, and I had to educate her a little on the FLCCC guidance for treatment of covid long haulers. She wanted to treat me with the day 1 and day 3 dosage, which I took. Then realized I should've done the 5 days straight dosage so I had to go back and ask her for more ivermectin.

I took ivermectin on day two or three of showing symptoms and within three hours all my major symptoms were gone (fever, skin pain, eye pain, headache, lethargy). The only symptom that didn't clear up was congestion.

The next day (yesterday) I lost my sense of smell, which is consistent with the timeline of the virus in its classic presentation. I take another ivermectin dose today, so we will see if it helps to resolve it.

Can anyone let me know the doctor that prescribed ivermectin in Houston? That way I can avoid the $65 middle man fee. I'm looking to get some as a prophylactic and to have some on hand in case myself or a family member is exposed.

I wonder if there's any chance my doctor will prescribe it for me.

Very low chance your Doctor will not prescribe it to you. Most doctors do not think its a suitable covid treament.

Wont you still have to pay a co-pay regardless if you visit a local doctor in Houston? Thats basically what the $65 Push Health fee is.

My doctor in Dallas would not prescribe it. His group is not recommending it. I didn't really push to see if he would change his mind. I really like my PCP and have been using him for over 10 years. You can always ask, but I wouldn't bet on your doctor issuing it.

My wife has a couple of friends who are physicians they are very skittish about ivermectin. They don't want to be on the record as prescribing it for other than the approved usage. Medical politics

My primary doctor refused to prescribe me ivermectin.

Gave me the following canned response:

Quote:

This is the current guidance for ivermectin and covid19:

Most recent update(s): The Infectious Diseases Society of America's COVID-19 guidelines suggest against ivermectin use outside of the context of a clinical trial in outpatients or hospitalized patients with COVID-19. The guideline panel states that additional, sufficiently designed clinical trials are needed to inform decisions.

The National Institutes of Health's COVID-19 guidelines panel indicates that there are insufficient data to recommend for or against the use of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 and that results from adequately powered, well-designed, and well-conducted clinical trials are needed to provide more specific, evidence-based guidance.

As part of our response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, published literature and guidelines from major health organizations are continuously monitored for potential content updates. At this time, only investigational medications with data determined to be of relatively high quality and/or consistently showing positive clinical outcomes to support dosing recommendations will be included in the monograph, outside of this Special Alert field.
Basically, there aren't any clinical trials that support it.
