How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hi guys, this is more of a question for the doctors on the board. I was diagnosed with Covid 7 months ago, and have had lingering symptoms ever since then. I will feel fine for a few days to a week, then the symptoms return for 5-6 days. The symptoms arent too debilitating, but I will get the usual fatigue, feeling hot/weak, muscle aches, sore throat, ear aches etc. I am a mid 30's male in otherwise healthy shape.

I have taken Zithromax, Steroid Pak (dont remember the name), and all of the vitamins recommended on this board, and nothing has helped.

Any other medications I should ask my PCP for? Has anyone else experienced symptoms last this long? Is there basically nothing I can do besides wait it out lol? Ive heard of other cases where symptoms lasted 4-6 months, but at 7 months I feel like this will never go away!

That is very strange, and I am sure annoying - sorry you are dealing with this. It seems that you have had 5-6 days of system every other week for 7 months? Have you discussed with a doctor?

Since you are already taking all the supplements recommended, I am not sure what else to say but I do wonder if getting the vaccine would somehow help you. I saw in an article that it is recommended even for those that have had Covid and that it would strengthen your immune response, maybe it would somehow help your body knock this crap out of your system for good? I think there are forums where "long haulers" gather to discuss their issues, I wonder if you went there you'd find some reports of long haulers getting vaccinated - and whether or not it made things worse, had no impact, or somehow helped.

Yes, that is correct. Symptoms return every other week for the past 7 months! Sometimes they return every few days. Its just so arbitrary, I will feel fine all day then boom it hits at night. I talked to my doctor 2 months ago and she prescribed me the steroid pak, but she basically made it sound like theres not much else they can do and this is common with MONO as well. She said people will get MONO symptoms 9 months after infection.

Ive been thinking about the vaccination, but not sure if it was recommended for those who have already had it. I will look into this. Ive checked out facebook groups of the long haulers, and theres a lot of people out there who have experienced symptoms 6 months after infection. Its so crazy this virus.

I have basically had the same issue since late June. One week it is stuffed up nose, next it is post nasal drip. The next is chills and fever. It just switches back and forth ALL the time. Today i have a slight congestion in my upper sinuses

Same here man! I got Covid in early June. The symptoms switch up a lot but mainly stuffed up nose, muscle aches, feeling warm, chills (but no fever) have been pretty consistent. Its so hard to be productive at work or in general whenever the fatigue feelings hit.

What has your doctor told you? Have you taken any antibiotics or steroid paks? Tylenol Sinus Severe is the only thing that makes me feel better lol.

Well, since you came to the place for wild guesses, maybe you need more/better sleep.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

That's why I asked for a doctor to chime in
