Don't know if they included in the article but in the press conference yesterday Trump mentioned that Apple, Google, NASA, and MIT were also lending computing power to the problem. Can't imagine that combination not entirely eliminating this as a bottleneck.

E-gamers from around the world have signed up for the Folding @ home project. They have seen a huge uptick with people signing up. It allows for gamer's high end computers to be used for processing power to do calculations when not being used to "frag newbs!"
