That's great news. I believe rapid, widely available testing is our best chance to resume a semblance of normalcy.

This is big news. The instruments are Point of care so samples do not need to be sent to big labs to test. The same platform used for regular flu testing. I believe there are 23k instruments placements globally so that is a lot of additional test capacity.

Stock market will let us know of its arrival and use.

Danaher is the parent company. Both Danaher and Thermo Fisher are at bargain buys due to stock drop.

This news is very welcome and related to a previous post I made about the absolute critical need for timely and effective testing. Waiting 3-7 days post symptoms to begin treatment will not suffice nor will it help reduce hospital traffic for serious cases as most that come to the ER will be in respitory distress already.

This news paired with treatments that have strong potential to work are exactly what is needed and these next few weeks are critical for everyone to do what you can to keep yourself out of the public so we can catch up on the manufacturing side or needed goods to combat this pain in the ass virus.

It's getting old hearing the same line of "we're not there yet". With the amount of money and advanced technology this country has its utter bull**** that the majority of people can't be tested in one way or the other.
