Clearly not my year. Taking excess C and D3 now apparently, led to me having my first kidney stone in 16 years. For anyone who has not had one, you don't want one, trust me.

Is there any guidance out there for where my D level should be maintained at and how quickly to get it there based on a history of stones?

Thanks in advance,

If you have a history of stones I would probably go on the lower end around 30 to 40, but this should be discussed with your urologist as there are many causes of kidney stones. I would get analysis of the stone. Remember the best prevention of kidney stones is drinking plenty of water.
Regrettably, I'm a multi-time Calcium Oxalate veteran. Excess salt was my previous culprit. 2x RDA level excess salt that's long gone, hence my surprise at this last one where I discovered the C, and now D3, issues. I'll get some new labs and see where I'm at and go from there.

Thanks!

Vit K2 is great for managing kidney stones. And also with calcium buildup in other places. It puts calcium where it's supposed to be and takes it away from where it doesn't belong.

I had a televisit with Dr Rev today. I am not sick ..but just wanted to discuss some things with him. I can not express how impressed I was with him. I have been following his Vit recommendations and reading all of his post from the very beginning.
Dr. REV ...THANK YOU for all you have done for the Aggie community. You are a true blessing.

Tested positive today.

No real symptoms - there was one night about two weeks ago that I felt pretty awful for like two hours and it passed. Nothing but slight congestion (which I have every year during the entire winter).

Randomly had to take a COVID test for something I was supposed to do tomorrow and popped positive. Now my inner hypochondriac is coming out and I'm convinced I'm now only at 95% lung capacity even though that wasn't the case this morning.

Get lots of sleep, 2-5k Vitamin D per day and lots of water. Missing anything?

Will pray for you. Now add baby aspirin, Quercetin, zinc, pepcid, NAC and melatonin for next week.

I had a similar event just before Thanksgiving. I spent a horrible night, ached all over, and low grade fever. Cancelled the fam coming out for Tgiving. Felt much better 36 hrs later, just some minor fever and normal allergy issues. Have felt fine ever since. I couldn't find a rapid test site in less than 2 hour drive, thus cancelled out of caution. Never got tested. Hmmmmm....

I was at my daughters for a much delayed birthday supper on Monday. Had not seen any family since first week in October, but go to school to teach every weekday so decided I had to see my grandbabies. All were healthy, or so we thought. We ordered an uber eats birthday treat meal for the two November birthdays I had missed because we did not trust eating out. My five year old granddaughter does go to school face to face, but my daughter and her husband both work or teach from home.

Then on way out of apartment for school on Friday morning and my daughter texts me that my granddaugter had fever and had it since Wed when they picked her up from school. That meant my school's covid protocols clicked in and I had to do a ton of paperwork and teach from home. Granddaughter saw some doctor that afternoon with my son in law, because by that afternoon my daughter had fever. Juliette tested negative for covid and strep on the quick test. Now we wonder. Because my daughter kept feeling worse and met her school nurse Saturday and tested positive. She has all the symptoms. NOW we wonder if the five year old had a false postive since she is the best contact for bringing it in.

And I will be calling my school nurse Monday morning to see if i need and qualify fo the quick tests our school has. Right now my ten days for the district to stay out ends on the 17th.

But it does bring out worries. This is my high allergy time of year due to a number of fall/winter pollens. I have a runny nose but no fever. My allergy medicine in controlling it and I took the mega dose of D when I got my daughter's phone call. Have managed to talk her into d, c zinc, and quercitine but not the large dose of D. She is Indiginous'' by ancestry verifed by dna testing. So I worry about her and worry about me catching it. The mother in me wants to run over there to nurse her. Not smart for a 72 year old.

. No issues that we know of from seeing my grandsons (4 and 6) on Saturday.

Found out that I was exposed last Thursday. I drove 10 hours in a car with a co-worker. She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday and tested positive for Covid.

I wore a mask in the car but am still isolating.

I took 50,000 of Vitamin D and my normal "Dr. Rev supplement cocktail" yesterday. What should I take on an ongoing basis to get my immune system ready for a potential battle with Covid?

If you are taking the supplements that is about all you can do. Now we just have to hope that don't come down with it but if you get it, it remains mild.

Today's PCR test was negative (5 days post exposure) so I'm optimistic. Feel fine.

Will stay in isolation and retest on Friday. Taking the supplements daily.

Can the "Dr. Rev supplement cocktail" be edited into the original post or pinned in a locked thread? I can't seem to find it on the FB page right now, and haven't dug back thru to where it is in this thread...

TIA

edit. Ok fished it off of FB

Quercetin from 250mg up to 1g twice per day Remember this is a Zinc ionophore.
Vitamin D3 Take this for sure if you are deficient and I now recommend taking it either daily or weekly as long as your values are not too high. Remember too much vitamin D can cause issues. However, if you are diagnosed with Covid-19 take 50,000IU immediately as this appears to have significant benefits.
Sleep greater than 8 hours per night
CoQ10 100-300mg per day: a potent antioxidant that potentially helps balance oxidative stress, increase vasodilation, prevent clot formation and decrease vasoconstriction.
Zinc any amount is probably good but take what you can tolerate without making you feel bad up to 40mg. You do not want to be Zinc deficient as it is how many drugs like HCQ work.
Melatonin 0.1mg to 10mg at night. Take what you can tolerate and what helps you sleep without making you feel drugged or tired in the morning. If you are diabetic watch your sugars.
N-acetylcysteine (NAC) - 600mg twice per day shown to decrease severity of influenza, improve lung functions in COPD, antioxidant properties, potentially helps prevent clotting and with mental disorders. Caution for asthmatics as there is potential for bronchospasm but this is rare.
Vitamin C 250mg to 500mg twice per day. Effects debatable in oral form but IV did help in China. But is proven to strengthen immune system
Green Tea either drink some or 1 pill per day alternate zinc ionophore if you don't have or don't take Quercetin
Famotidine 10-20mg twice per day potentially inhibits viral replication and helps with heartburn
Baby Aspirin 81mg aspirin to thin blood and help prevent clots but only after discussing with your physician to make sure you have no contraindications to its use.

Any docs on here have any insight on an immune comprised patient (Cancer, Rheumatoid Arthritis, hypertension) that has had Covid without major symptoms requiring hospitalization taking the vaccine?

Risks?

Benefits?

Sorry if this has been addressed. Haven't found it in the past few pages. Is the daily supplement recommendations only for those who have tested positive for COVID, or recommended as preventative measures?

Just tested positive 8 days after exposure.

My rapid test this morning was negative. PCR test (which I took at the same time) came back positive.

No symptoms so far. Please pray for me.

Recommendations on a one stop shop to get all of these vitamins? I want to make sure that I'm getting them from a reputable company.

Random question, but how long do you need to be taking N-acetylcysteine (NAC) to see benefits against the flu?

Both my boys had the flu (stomach or other is unclear) and my wife was up sick last night.

I've been pretty good with the regimen above via some supplements I'm taking, but added this today (2 pills) in hope of either not getting sick or having a better time than my wife.

Certainly not the only one stop shop, but I have been using LifeExtension for some time and feel their offerings are high quality. Free mailing if you set up auto ship. They have a large catalog of supplements.

This may have been covered but how many days post-exposure does a negative test mean you're pretty much in the clear? 5,6,7+?

The poster above got it 8 days later. But I *think* most infections are earlier than that?

Ah I see that now. They didn't mention when symptoms started tho so wasn't sure. Thought I read best time to get tested is 5-7 days after exposure

I had no symptoms when I tested positive 8 days post-exposure. I tested negative 5 days post-exposure.

3 days later I luckily only have minor symptoms.

I tried zinc way back when you first recommended it, but had a bad reaction - stomach cramps, etc.

If I develop covid, should I try zinc again or stick to all the other recommended supplements and skip the zinc?

Don't think I've seen it posted anywhere but is there any chance that taking the cocktail of supplements together with Ivermectin can/will effect the efficacy of the Covid vaccine(s)?? Obviously I have no idea how these things work and was just wondering??
Thanks much.
